Meet the team behind Belfast MagiCon 2016

Nicola aka FizzWizzPop

Currently I am THE only professional female magician here in Northern Ireland. I was the first ever female Chairperson of the Ulster Society of Magician's and now I have decided to co-organise Belfast MagiCon 2016 on behalf of the USM and IBM Ring 85 with my magical partner in crime, Caolan McBride.

I am hoping that this convention will provide a platform for magicians and magic lovers from here and afar to get together, perform magic, watch magic, discuss magic and above all form lasting friendships which is really what our art form is all about. Our love of the art.

Caolan aka @magicbelfast

Caolan has been performing magic for 20 years. For the past 12 years Caolan has toured with countless theatre shows, honing his craft and knowledge of performance and Magic. He cannot wait until Belfast MagiCon. He will be on hand all weekend to help the attendees and is especially looking forward to running the weekend with his Fiancée Nicola. Caolan truly is a wonderful Magician, probably THE best ever. Caolan also wrote this Bio.

Julie aka Mad about Magic
(Box Office and Magical Assistant)

This picture (Below taken by Bernie McAllister) perfectly sums up my excitement levels towards magic. Captured after John Donnelly amazed me during a magic pub crawl in the summer.
I've been a fan of magic since I was a kid. I enjoyed Penn and Teller on Tv in the 90s, I was fascinated by the controversy of The Masked Magician who revealed secrets and pleaded with my parents to take me to London to see David Blaine in a box. It is a passion that has not only stuck with me to this day but grows each time I'm around magic and magicians.
The Irish scene is filled with some of the most talented performers I've had the pleasure of seeing and I'm excited to be part of the team of MagiCon 2016. I'm looking forward to working with Caolan and Nicola to assist them with the running of an amazingly inspiring convention for both professional magicians and fans alike. I will be on hand to welcome people to the convention, help with enquires as well as enjoy the fantastic array of talent throughout the weekend.

Julie will be working at our box office, meeting and greeting our guests and delegates. She will also be around to help throughout the weekend so please make sure you go up and say hi to her. And if you're a magician show her some magic, it'll make her day!
